The Imo State Police Command has vowed to apprehend the killers of eight village heads in Umucheke Community, Onuimo LGA of Imo State.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, made this promise during a condolence visit to the community on August 4, 2024.
“We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the killers of Eze Umucheke’s cabinet members are all arrested and brought to justice,” CP Aboki Danjuma assured.
The CP condemned the tragic killings as “barbaric, inhumane, and senseless” and commiserated with the families of the bereaved and the entire Umucheke community.
The CP emphasized the importance of community participation in the fight against violent crimes, urging residents to report any suspicious activities to the nearest Police Station or via 08034773600.
The CP urged the residents of Onuimo and other communities in the State to continue to support the Police and other security agencies in the State.
“We will continue to support the Police and other security agencies in the State by remaining security conscious and reporting any suspicious person or activity within our vicinity,” CP Aboki Danjuma said.
The CP’s visit was accompanied by the Sole Administrator of Onuimo LGA, Dr. Emeka Obi, representative of the Commander 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze, Major AI Maikarifi, Commandant NSCDC, Comdt. Mathew Ovye, and other security agencies.p
