Chelsea are on the verge of securing a £39m swap deal for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
According to reports, Napoli boss Antonio Conte is demanding two Chelsea players and £39m in exchange for Osimhen.
The players Conte wants are Lukaku, who joined Chelsea for £97.5m in 2021, and young midfielder Cesare Casadei, who cost £17m.
Talks have been ongoing for several days regarding Osimhen’s future, with Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna in London for negotiations with Chelsea.
The potential swap deal would see Osimhen join Chelsea, while Lukaku and Casadei move to Napoli.
Chelsea have already spent nearly £200m this summer on 12 players, including Pedro Neto, who joined from Wolves for £54m.
The Blues are eager to strengthen their attack with Osimhen, who has impressed in Serie A with Napoli.
Osimhen’s potential arrival would boost Chelsea’s attacking options, while Lukaku and Casadei would bolster Napoli’s squad.
The deal is expected to be finalized soon, pending negotiations and agreement on the terms.
