Imo APC To Hold LG Primaries August 22

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State has announced August 22, 2024, as the date for its Local Government primary elections, ahead of the September 21, 2024, council polls.

The party’s State Chairman, Hon. Sir MacDonald Ebere, disclosed this in a press release on August 16, 2024, inviting aspirants and party members to a crucial meeting.

The meeting, held at the party secretariat, aimed to prepare for the primary elections.

However, there is growing demand among majority APC members at the Local Government and Ward levels for all card-carrying members to be allowed to participate in the process.

The upcoming primary election is a critical step in selecting candidates who will represent the APC in the forthcoming Local Government Council Polls.

The party has expressed its readiness to conduct a successful primary election.
