Chuks Ajaelu Emerges Okigwe Zone PDP Chairman


 
A frontline politician in Imo State, Chief Chuks Ajaelu (JP), has been elected the vice chairman of Okigwe Zone of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Imo State
.

Ajaelu was elected at the State Congress of the party held at the Kanu Nwankwo stadium in Owerri on Saturday, August 31. He scored over 2000 votes from the delegates at the Congress.

Several officials of the party were also elected into various positions .

Hon. Austin Nwachukwu was elected the state chairman of the party.

Ajaelu had in August 2020 vied for the chairmanship seat of the party in Imo State.

An astute politician, the Ihitte Uboma born politician has been a devoted and faithful PDP chieftain who played impressive and major roles in the 2023 governorship bid of the National Secretary of the party, Senator Samuel Anyanwu.

He has also played crucial roles for the party both at the state and national levels.

He was one time South East Coordinator, National PDP Professionals and Business Group, NPPBG, and later President of the group.

Some party chieftains who spoke to INNONEWS in Owerri on Ajaelu’s emergence described him as a “round peg in a round role”

“He deserves his new position in the party because he has been a committed and devoted party member committed to the ideals of the party.

“He has been patient and suffered for the party despite the fact it is an opposition party in Imo State,said a party member, Evans Ufomadu.
