Indications are that the Governor of Imo State,Senator Hope Uzodimma has resolved to retain the Sole Administrators in the LGAs as Elected Local Government Chairmen.
To commence this plot, Source said the SOLADs have been secretly Screened by Uzodimma’s Commissioner for Rural Development,Hon Ifeanyi Oruh by the directive of the Governor,even without the SOLADs resigning from Office.
It was learnt that their forms were bought by Oruh but sponsored by the Governor.
Sources said that the list would be forwarded to Imo APC to be released any moment from now as Candidates for the September 21,2024 Imo Council election.
This development,many said, will cause implosion within Imo APC that would tear the party apart.
“This rumour had circulated around some weeks ago but was not denied. If this happens,mass exodus will hit Imo APC” a top APC Member said.
It is said that if this is allowed to happen Uzodimma would have made rubbish,the Local Government Autonomy issue.
