LG Election: Imo APC Holds Mega Rally, Uzodimma, Ganduje, Ebere Hopeful Of Victory

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State wrapped up its Local Government Election campaign with a grand finale rally at the Ndubuisi Kanu Square in Owerri, Thursday showcasing the party’s unity and strength ahead of the local government election.

Speaking at the event, Governor Hope Uzodimma expressed his gratitude to the party for its unwavering support and outlined the importance of the upcoming local government elections.

“Our journey in governance has been one of dedication, resilience, and commitment to the well-being of Imo people,” he declared ¹.

The governor emphasized that the success of the APC in the local elections would further solidify the party’s efforts to bring sustainable development to all corners of the state.

He encouraged party members to work tirelessly to secure victories across the 27 local government areas.

He also assured those who didn’t emerge in the party’s just-concluded primaries that greater opportunities await them in the future.

The governor’s message resonated with the crowd, as he stressed the need for capable leaders at the grassroots level.

“We must ensure that we continue this journey by electing capable leaders at the grassroots level. The future of our communities depends on it,” he emphasized.

The National Chairman of the APC, Alh. Abdullahi Ganduje, praised Governor Uzodimma’s leadership, stating that Imo State remains a shining example of what the APC can achieve when the right people are in leadership.

Ganduje welcomed Chief Alex Emeziem, a former General Manager of Imo Entraco, who officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC during the event.

He presented Emeziem to the crowd, describing his defection as a significant boost for the party ahead of the elections.

Imo APC Chairman, MacDonald Ebere,Phd reaffirmed the party’s commitment to grassroots governance.

“The strength of any government lies in its connection to the people at the grassroots,” Ebere told the mammoth crowd.

Ebere commended the crowd’s turnout, describing it a testament to the APC’s influence and popularity in the state.

“Today’s overwhelming show of support is proof that the people of Imo State trust the APC to deliver on its promises.”he said.

He thanked Governor Uzodimma for making the All Progressives Congress not just the most powerful political party in the State, but also in the entire Southeast.

Ebere emphasized the importance of unity within the party, stressing that the APC has always stood as a united force.

“This unity is what will carry us to victory in these elections and beyond,” he noted.

The Imo APC Chairman also praised the leadership of Governor Uzodimma, calling him “a beacon of hope and progress” for the region.

The event brought together a diverse mix of party leaders, traditional rulers, top government officials, and the clergy, all of whom lent their voices to the party’s call for unity and support at the grassroots level.
