Barr. Akagburuonye Obioma Success, a Human Capital Development Expert and Real Estate Management Guru, has described the passing of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, as a significant loss to humanity and society.
In a message to the Iwuanyanwu family, Barr. Akagburuonye emphasized that the loss of this esteemed Igbo leader has created a substantial vacuum in all spheres of human activity and development, not only within the Igbo nation but throughout the country.
He highlighted Chief Iwuanyanwu’s dedication of resources and talents toward ensuring that Igbo land and Nigeria became a success story in the global community. Barr. Akagburuonye referred to Chief Iwuanyanwu as one of the greatest philanthropists and industrialists, noting that at one point, he was the largest employer of labor in both old and new Imo State.
Barr. Akagburuonye recalled Chief Iwuanyanwu’s monumental contributions, such as the construction of Imo Airport and the establishment of the Blood Bank at the Federal University Teaching Hospital in Owerri, which serves as the Zonal Blood Bank for the Southeast.
He also recognized Chief Iwuanyanwu’s efforts as a businessman in galvanizing the former Eastern Region to create the Eastern Businessmen Forum, which facilitated business activities in the zone immediately after the Civil War.
Barr. Akagburuonye, popularly known as Akaraugo Mbaise, also called on the Federal Government to immortalize this remarkable man who dedicated his life to humanitarian efforts and infrastructural development. He described Chief Iwuanyanwu as a humble individual whose lifestyle is worthy of emulation.
He noted that Chief Iwuanyanwu was a generous man who welcomed all, regardless of tribe or creed.
He concluded by praying for God to grant the family, government, and people of Imo State, the Igbo nation, and the entire country the strength to bear the loss of this great man of our time.
