TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
My attention has been drawn to a Newspaper Publication in the Nigerian Watchdog of 8th October, 2024, in which it was alleged that, i appropriated and diverted the Commission’s Vehicle assigned to me while in Office, to personal use even after I was sacked from Office, and observe as follows:
i) I was NEVER SACKED from Office, in the first place.
The Governor Uzodinma administration dissolved all the Commissions in Imo State of which the Local Govt Service Commission was one.
ii) The said vehicle, a Humer Bus, was driven by an official driver! I could not have appropriated and diverted the said bus to personal use, when the driver was asked to leave immediately after the dissolution exercise.
Where will all these deliberate and unfounded lies lead Watchdog and its Publishers to?
Although I was not contacted prior to the false publication, i will not dignify such unprofessional medium with additional litigation!
Let it be on record that the bus was received by the Deputy Chief of Staff( General Services), on submission,upon the said dissolution.
His Office Is there for verification and confirmation!
iii) Lastly, i want to place on record here, that, i am a SEASONED ADMINISTRATOR (per Excellence; A Retired Permanent Secretary of Worth), before my appointment as Chairman of the Local Govt Service Commission), so, i am very much in tune with all the Regulatory Guidelines of the System to want to twart them, to what end?? I had even served as the Permanent Secretary, Establishments, just for clarity sakes!
Watchdog is kindly advised and reminded to keep to the rule of law; namely, to obey the simplest injunction of desisting from this wanton desire to tarnish my image and integrity in the polity for reasons yet undisclosed, until my law suits against them for character defamation & others, already in situ, are determined by the Court of Justice.
