Prison Truck Collides With Tipper On Owerri- Okigwe Road

A Nigeria Correctional Service truck was involved in a collision with a tipper along the Owerri-Okigwe Expressway in Imo State on Sunday.

The incident occurred near the Federal Government Girls Secondary School Owerri, an area close to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat.

Eyewitnesses reported that the prison truck, which was traveling at considerable speed, failed to avoid the tipper, resulting in the crash.

The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles, temporarily disrupting traffic flow along the busy highway.

Emergency responders and bystanders quickly arrived at the scene, and, fortunately, no casualties were recorded.

The swift intervention prevented further escalation and ensured the safety of the individuals involved.

The authorities have yet to release an official statement on the cause of the accident.
