Renowned cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has declared that Governor Hope Uzodimma’s influence will secure victory for any candidate he endorses in the next Imo State governorship election.
The founder of the INRI Spiritual Evangelical Church made this revelation while speaking on Uzodimma’s rising political clout and his critical role in regional and national matters.
Primate Ayodele stated that Governor Uzodimma will not contest the upcoming governorship election but will instead play the kingmaker role, ensuring his candidate’s triumph.
“Hope Uzodimma’s candidate will win the next election in Imo State. If Emeka Ihedioha contests again, he will fail. Only God can stop Hope’s candidate from taking the seat,” Ayodele declared.
The cleric also predicted that the Imo governor would facilitate the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), describing the governor an “arrowhead” for positive change in the region.
“Hope will be a big factor in the Southeast. He will bring light to the region, end the sit-at-home order, and play a major role in Nnamdi Kanu’s release,” Ayodele stated.
The cleric further urged Nnamdi Kanu to embrace humility and focus on negotiating his release rather than relying on external consultations, which, according to him, could prolong his detention under the current administration.
“Nnamdi Kanu must humble himself, stop excessive consultations, and work on reaching an agreement.
“Prolonging his stay in detention will do more harm than good,” he advised.
Primate Ayodele also spoke on Monday sit-at- home in the South East, calling on Southeast governors to unite and end the disruptive sit-at-home order, which he said is detrimental to the region’s economy.
“The sit-at-home is killing the Southeast economy. The governors must come together to put an end to it. Shutting down the region is self-destructive,” he stated..
