Anyanwu Denies Being Barred From PDP Bot Meetings

by admin

Senator Samuel Anyanwu has dismissed claims that he was barred from attending the Board of Trustees (BoT) meetings of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Ikenna Onuoha, he described the reports as false, misleading, and a calculated attempt by mischief-makers to destabilize the party.

The statement clarified that during the last BoT meeting held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Wadata Plaza, Abuja, a ten-paragraph communiqué was issued.

According to the aide, none of the paragraphs mentioned any decision barring Senator Anyanwu from attending BoT meetings.

Furthermore, the statement highlighted a ruling by the Court of Appeal in Abuja, which granted a Stay of Execution Order on December 20, 2024, restraining the enforcement of an earlier judgment in Enugu.

This legal order, according to Dr. Onuoha, ensures that Senator Anyanwu remains the National Secretary of the PDP and continues to perform his duties until December 2025.

The aide described the allegations as part of an orchestrated plot by political rivals to incite chaos within the party. He also cautioned that anyone undermining the court’s decision would be held in contempt of court and face legal repercussions.

Senator Anyanwu urged the public to disregard the false reports and reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to his role as the National Secretary of the PDP.
