The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Imo State Council, has announced a series of strategic appointments to enhance its operations across various sectors.
Approved by the Council’s Chairman, Comrade Ifeanyi Nwanguma JP, the appointments cover vital areas such as sports, security, media, and entertainment.
The newly appointed Special Advisers include Comrade John Kennedy Uzoma (Sports), Comrade Innocent Osuoha (Religious Affairs), Comrade Brian Ifeanyi (Special Duties), Comrade Collins Osuji JP (Security), Comrade Onyinyechi Amakaulo (Entertainment), and Comrade Paul Chukwu (Electronic Media).
According to a press release issued on March 6, 2025, by the Council’s Secretary, Comrade Ihechi-Nwamah, these appointments are with immediate effect.
Comrade Nwanguma expressed confidence in the abilities of the appointees, emphasizing their track record and expertise in their respective fields.
He noted that the appointments are part of a broader strategy to improve the union’s effectiveness and foster collaboration across critical areas of journalism and societal engagement.
