Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has commended Spanish forward Alvaro Morata after Galatasaray’s 2-1 win over Alanyaspor.
Morata, who joined the Turkish club in January, impressed Osimhen with his work ethic and experience on the pitch.
Morata’s career has spanned some of Europe’s top clubs, including Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, and Juventus. Despite his talent, he struggled to deliver consistently at certain clubs, such as Chelsea and AC Milan. However, the Super Lig offers him a fresh start to rediscover his form.
On Sunday, Osimhen and Morata played together for over 80 minutes for the first time. While Morata didn’t score, Osimhen praised his teamwork and influence. “He’s an advanced player who helps the team a lot. I’m happy to play alongside him and hope we both score more goals this season,” Osimhen said.
With Osimhen likely departing for a top-five European league soon, Morata is expected to fill the gap and solidify his place in the squad.
