This Fixated And Unwarranted Misinterpretation Of Imo Charter Of Equity Is An Evil Wind, Let’s Not Overheat Imo Polity- OPOCA.

*ADVERTORIAL*

To say the least, all these fallacious write ups with ill intentions to misinterpret the Imo Charter of Equity are profoundly idiotic, childish, unimpressive and outright veering off the track and abuse of reason. First, is the childish display of Prof Iwu’s photograph in an article that is completely irrelevant and unrelated to him. What is the motive and rational behind this unnecessary posturing that is misleading and full of assumptions /falsehood? Only Willie Amadi can obviously explain because he is the one beating this anarchic drum from behind.
The reading public expected Amadi to answer questions or address issues raised by Barr Anunobi and Hon Emelumba to wits:

  1. Which zone destroyed the Charter of Equity? Charter of Equity was adopted by all the South Eastern states in 1999 as Willie Amadi indicated. It was meant to rotate power fairly among the three zones in each state.
But in 2011, Owerri Zone backed an Orlu candidate (Rochas Okorocha)
instead of standing with Okigwe Zone. Is this true or false?
  2. Owerri Zone entered into a secret agreement to outwit and shunt out Okigwe zone out of power in 2011 and was promised power in 2015 as part of the deal with Rochas, but
that promise was broken. True or false? Why is Owerri not addressing this?
  3. That Owerri’s barefaced strategy to smoke out Rochas and hand him over power instead of supporting Okigwe Zone in 2011 was what
disrupted the Charter of Equity and left Owerri sidelined for years. True or false?
  4. Does Justice and fairness not demand that the first injustice should be corrected before moving forward? If Okigwe’s tenure was cut short, wouldn’t true equity mean allowing them to finish it first before Owerri stamped?
  5. Orlu Zone has held power for over 20 years, yes, but has Owerri not contested all the governorship elections since 1999? Did Orlu prevent them from winning?
  6. For example, did Owerri not contest the 2023 election in spite of the admonition of the council of elders? They even followed it to the Supreme Court. True or false?
  7. Has the Governor not got three more years to go? Has Harmony Group told Ndi Imo why they are stampeding the Governor and overheating the polity? Do they want to remove him from office before the end of his tenure?
  8. Isn’t the equity that will stand the test of time be clothed in fairness and justice?
  9. Is abusing Orlu leaders and faking non existent endorsements by traditional rulers and town Union presidents by Harmony Group the best way to secure power?
  10. Is this braggadocio not a clear indication of how ‘nde owerre’ will treat Ndi Orlu if by any chance power is handed over to them?
  11. Have the two Amadis of Harmony Group not been abusing the Governor? Both Sam Amadi and Willie Amadi? Why has no Owerri leader condemned any of them?
  12. Do they think any reasonable Orlu person will support this move to secure power by all means in order to enslave Orlu and chase us out of Imo? We have learned our lessons from the previous abandoned property calamity that befall Ndi Orlu mostly in the old Rivers State after the civil war which has not been resolved till date. This is exactly what Amadi and his co-travelers have been threatening.
  13. Charter of Equity is not law. True or false? Therefore nobody can intimate Orlu.
  14. Harmony Group must address these issues not beating about the bush because power is a serious issue not a playground for political Lilliputians and feather weight individuals.
Let’s examine and reflect on these fundamental issues that were pointed out above and do justice to all stakeholders in the Imo State project!
