The Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma on Electronic and Creative Media, Hon. Prince Collins Opurozor, joined Christian faithful at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Umuopia, Akokwa, to celebrate Mothering Sunday. During the worship service, he conveyed a heartfelt goodwill message to the mothers, emphasizing the pivotal role they play in shaping a better society.
Hon. Opurozor reassured the congregation of the unwavering commitment of the Shared Prosperity administration of Governor Uzodimma to improving the lives of Imo mothers and securing a brighter future for their children. He noted that the policies and developmental strides of the current government are aimed at fostering economic growth and social stability across the state.
Highlighting ongoing infrastructural projects, he pointed out that the Orlu-Akokwa road, currently under construction, is a landmark socio-economic development initiative that will significantly enhance commerce and agriculture in Akokwa and the wider Ideato nation. According to him, the road project will not only boost local businesses but also facilitate easier access to markets for farmers, thereby improving livelihoods.
Acknowledging the indispensable role of mothers in nation-building, Hon. Opurozor described motherhood as a sacred responsibility. He urged mothers to remain steadfast in nurturing their children with sound values, as a well-guided generation is key to a prosperous and progressive society.
