Victor Osimhen has become the highest-paid player in Turkish football history after joining Galatasaray on a blockbuster loan move from Napoli.
The Nigerian striker earns a staggering €15.1 million annually, eclipsing all other stars in the Süper Lig, including Mauro Icardi and Ciro Immobile, who both earn €10 million each.
Osimhen’s transfer came after a dramatic fallout with Napoli despite scoring 76 goals and leading them to a Serie A title in 2022-23.
His switch to Galatasaray not only shook headlines but also came with a financial package few clubs in Turkey have ever managed.
Galatasaray pays Osimhen €192,308 weekly, with Napoli covering the rest to make up a weekly total of €290,962.
The investment has paid off, as Osimhen has netted 33 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions this season.
