The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo State has reiterated its resolve to reclaim political power in the State and across the South East, describing itself as the only political party in Nigeria with viable and people-oriented ideologies.
Addressing members of the APGA Students Movement (ASM) during a courtesy visit to the party’s office in Owerri on Wednesday, the State Chairman of APGA, Hon. John Iwuala, emphasized that the party’s foundation is built on humanism and egalitarianism.
“APGA was founded to promote humanity, goodness, and a progressive society free from hunger, corruption, acrimony, and misgovernance,” Iwuala stated.
He assured that the party is restrategizing to meet the expectations of citizens, adding that APGA is committed to empowering the youth with relevant skills to build a better future.
He further urged the ASM members to be ambassadors of the party in their respective institutions.
“APGA is an Igbo party rooted in peace and unity. With your youthful determination, the party will achieve greater success in future elections,” he said.
Speaking on the party’s achievements, APGA’s Board of Trustees Chairman in the UK, Okey Emereole, praised the party’s progressive leadership and pointed to Anambra State as an example of its governance.
“Under APGA, Anambra State has set the standard for financial stability and development. We prioritize social welfare, education, healthcare, and agriculture to uplift society,” Emereole noted.
Other state leaders, including the Organizing Secretary, Engr. Samuel Udensi, State Youth Leader, Soroibe Kelechi, and Women Leader, Nkasiobi Obi, echoed similar sentiments.
They encouraged the ASM to remain steadfast and committed to projecting the party’s ideals.
In his remarks, the Director of Research for ASM, Iwunor Kelechi, highlighted the group’s mission to bridge the gap between students and political leaders.
“ASM supports APGA’s vision for humanity and development. We are committed to promoting active student participation in politics and governance,” She said.
