Sustain Efforts In Securing Imo, Opara Urges Commandant, NSCDC

Chief Perry Opara, the Chief Political Adviser to the Governor and Head of the Political Bureau in Imo State, has commended the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) for their unwavering commitment to maintaining peace in the state.

During a courtesy visit to the NSCDC State Commandant, Basil Igwebueze, in Owerri, Opara urged them not to relent until Imo State is completely rid of crime and criminality.

He emphasized the critical role security plays in Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration.

“His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma is particularly interested in the security of lives and properties in Imo State. Our Governor takes the security of Imo people as a priority in his government,” he stated.

He further urged all security agencies in the state to sustain their collaboration for enhanced security outcomes.

According to him, the synergy between security agencies is key to achieving lasting peace and safety for the people of Imo State.

Chief Opara praised the dedication and professionalism of the NSCDC, noting their efforts in maintaining peace and tackling insecurity.

He encouraged them to remain steadfast and committed to their mandate, assuring them of the government’s support in their operations.

Chief Opara reaffirmmed the state government’s resolve to provide an environment where peace and safety are guaranteed. He called on all stakeholders to support the ongoing efforts to maintain security and enhance development in Imo State.

In response, the State Commandant, Basil Igwebueze, expressed appreciation for Chief Opara’s visit, describing it as a significant boost to the morale of the command.

He commended Governor Uzodimma for his proactive approach to security and his unwavering support for all security agencies in the state.

The Commandant highlighted the Governor’s reputation as a security-conscious leader who prioritizes the safety of his people.

He assured that the NSCDC would continue to collaborate with other sister agencies to ensure that the residents of Imo State can live without fear of insecurity.

“Our command shall continue to work tirelessly and in collaboration with other agencies to ensure that Imo people sleep without fear of insecurity,” Igwebueze said.

He reiterated the commitment of the NSCDC to its responsibilities and pledged sustained efforts in securing the state.
