Ademola Lookman’s potential switch to Inter Milan is heating up, with Atalanta expecting a fresh offer after rejecting an initial €40 million bid for the Nigerian winger.

The Bergamo-based club are holding firm, demanding a fee in the region of €50 million for their prized asset.

Sources from Calciomercato reveal that Inter are preparing to raise their offer by €2-€3 million in a renewed push to land Lookman, who dazzled last season and was crowned the 2023 African Footballer of the Year. The 26-year-old’s standout performances have made him one of the most sought-after talents in Serie A.

Despite interest from Serie A champions Napoli, Lookman has made his intentions clear — he prefers a move to the San Siro. The former Leicester City and RB Leipzig winger has already agreed personal terms with Inter, signalling his eagerness to link up with Simone Inzaghi’s side.

Atalanta, however, remain adamant that Lookman’s valuation reflects both his current form and market demand. La Dea are not under financial pressure and are willing to play hardball to extract maximum value.
