The final faction of the Orluzurumee Worldwide has officially collapsed as its factional leader, Dr. Emmanuel Maduike, embraced reconciliation and pledged allegiance to the globally recognized leadership of Rt. Hon. Ugochukwu Nzekwe.
In a statement signed by Cos Ukwoma, Publicity Secretary, Orluzurumee and made available to newsmen, the breakthrough came during a solemn reconciliation meeting in Owerri on July 23, 2025, where Maduike publicly dissolved his parallel structure and declared unwavering loyalty to the authentic leadership of Orluzurumee Worldwide.
In an emotionally charged speech, Dr. Maduike said, “I now stand, without hesitation, under the unified umbrella of Orluzurumee Worldwide. The time for division is over.”
Further cementing his commitment, he stated, “Today, I choose unity over ego, peace over conflict, and the collective interest of Orlu over personal ambition. I hereby pledge my full loyalty to the legitimate leadership of Orluzurumee Worldwide.”
Responding to the olive branch, Rt. Hon. Ugochukwu Nzekwe, President General of the body, hailed the moment as “a victory for Orlu Nation, a restoration of our collective strength, and a step towards a greater tomorrow.”*
He described the development as a homecoming that reaffirms the spirit of brotherhood among Orlu sons and daughters globally.
“This is more than reconciliation. It is the rebirth of a united voice for the Orlu people. Together, we are stronger, bolder, and ready to face the future as one.”he said.
With Maduike’s public surrender and endorsement of the Nzekwe-led administration, Orluzurumee Worldwide is now fully united for the first time in years—a move observers say will strengthen its sociopolitical relevance and advocacy both within Nigeria and across the diaspora.
Analysts have praised the move as a case study in conflict resolution and a rallying call for unity across other fractured regional organizations. They argue that the Orluzurumee model can inspire reconciliation across Igboland and Nigeria at large.
A prominent stakeholder who spoke on condition of anonymity cautioned that “while the joy of this unity lasts, mischief makers must stay away and allow the leadership rebuild from the ruins of disunity.”
He added that there is growing hope this will mark the definitive end of factionalism in the organization.
