The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has officially released the schedule for the 2025/26 campaign, setting Friday, August 22, 2025, as the kick-off date.
Defending champions Remo Stars will begin their title defence with a blockbuster clash against Rivers United in Ikenne.
According to the league calendar, clubs will enjoy a brief mid-season break from December 30, 2025, to January 6, 2026, allowing players and technical crews time to regroup ahead of the second half of the season.
The mid-season transfer window has been fixed for January 1 to January 30, 2026, giving clubs a month to strengthen their squads for the title run-in or fight against relegation.
The season is scheduled to wrap up on Sunday, May 24, 2026, bringing to a close what is expected to be another fiercely contested NPFL campaign.
