Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade is set for a blockbuster move to French D1 Arkema giants Paris Saint-Germain.
The Nigerian winger has emerged as a top transfer target for the Paris club following her exit from Atletico Madrid in June.
Ajibade, 24, became a free agent after her contract with the Spanish Liga F side expired, sparking a scramble for her signature from clubs across Europe and beyond. PSG appear to have beaten off competition from Major League Soccer teams to secure the deal.
If the move goes through, Ajibade will join fellow Nigerian international, Jennifer Echegini at PSG, boosting the club’s attacking options ahead of the new season.
Echegini has already established herself as a key figure in the midfield, and the addition of Ajibade is expected to add pace, creativity, and goal threat on the wings.
Ajibade’s stock has soared in recent months following her heroics at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where she captained the Super Falcons to their 10th continental title.
