Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been dealt a major blow ahead of Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier against South Africa as star striker, Victor Osimhen has been ruled out.
Reports say team doctor confirmed that the former Napoli forward sustained a bruise on his chin and woke up Sunday morning with severe discomfort.
Osimhen got injured in the 31st minute of Super Eagles match with Amavubi of Rwanda played at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
The medical team advised against his inclusion in the traveling squad, insisting that Osimhen requires rest and close monitoring to avoid aggravating the injury.
