A political support group, Tinubu for Better Nigeria (TBN), has announced plans to launch a two million-man march in the South East on October 31, 2025.
According to Ebere Chukwuemeka, the group’s coordinator, the event will take place in Owerri, the Imo State capital, and is designed to galvanise massive grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Chukwuemeka said the march is part of ongoing mobilisation efforts to demonstrate solidarity with the president and to promote his “bold economic reforms that are laying the foundation for national recovery.”
“The 2 Million Man March is not just a rally, but a movement to show that the South East stands with President Tinubu at this critical point in our country’s history. His policies are tough, but they are the bitter pills needed to secure a stronger economy,” Chukwuemeka said.
The group pointed to some of Tinubu’s notable interventions in the South East, including the acceleration of road reconstruction along critical corridors such as the Enugu–Onitsha Expressway and the Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway, which had suffered decades of neglect.
Chukwuemeka said the October 31 rally would attract thousands of participants across the five states of the region, alongside party stakeholders, youth groups, and market associations.
He added that Tinubu for Better Nigeria is determined to ensure that the South East “is fully integrated in the president’s vision for a united, prosperous, and inclusive Nigeria.”
