MR PRESIDENT
It is with great joy and a deep sense of honour that I, Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, Governor of Imo State, on behalf of the government and the good people of our dear state, warmly welcome the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on an official visit to Imo State on Tuesday, 30th September 2025.
I am also pleased to welcome, alongside Mr President, the National Chairman of our great party, Prof’Nenlave Yilwada, the President of the Senate, His Excellency Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Tajudeen Abbas, Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and other distinguished leaders of our party. Their presence underscores the unity, strength, and shared purpose that define the APC.
During this historic visit, Mr President will commission a number of transformative projects that eloquently demonstrate our shared commitment to progress. These include:
- The fully rebuilt Owerri–Mbaise–Obowo–Umuahia Road,
- A brand-new flyover connecting Port Harcourt and Onitsha Roads, with major upgrades around the Assumpta Cathedral Roundabout, Owerri,
- The ultra-modern Emmanuel Iwanyanwu International Conference Centre, among other signature projects.
In addition, President Tinubu will, as Chief Guest of Honour, unveil my latest book:
A DECADE OF IMPACTFUL PROGRESSIVE GOVERNANCE IN NIGERIA, a reflection on our journey as a party and as a nation committed to the ideals of good governance and sustainable development.
I look forward to receiving Mr President, other eminent Nigerians, and friends of Imo State on this momentous occasion.
