The National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), South East, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has congratulated Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu visits Owerri on September 30, 2025, to commission landmark projects completed by the Uzodimma administration.
One of the key highlights of the visit will also be the official unveiling of a book authored by Governor Uzodimma to mark APC’s 10 years, a gesture Arodiogbu described as proof of the governor’s proactive leadership and unwavering loyalty to the party.
Dr. Arodiogbu in a statement in Owerri, said the projects scheduled for commissioning are not just infrastructural additions but monuments of visionary leadership that will redefine Imo State’s development trajectory for generations.
He noted that Uzodimma’s decision to author the book on APC’s journey reflects his deep commitment to documenting history and preserving the ideological foundations of the party.
According to him, the book is “a political treasure that will guide future generations of progressives and serve as a reference point in Nigeria’s democratic experience.”
He described Uzodimma as a rare leader whose commitment to service, resilience in governance, and ability to transform challenges into opportunities have placed Imo on a pedestal of growth.
According to him, the commissioning of these projects by President Tinubu is a national validation of Uzodimma’s achievements.
“These projects are not ordinary. They are testimonies of a governor who came prepared, who understood the yearnings of his people, and who has delivered beyond expectations,” Arodiogbu said.
He continued: “The rebuilt 26-kilometre Owerri–Mbaise–Obowo–Umuahia road, the Assumpta flyover linking Port Harcourt and Onitsha, and the world-class Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre are legacies that will speak for decades.”
He commended Uzodimma’s style of governance anchored on the 3R mantra of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Recovery, noting that the governor has demonstrated uncommon courage in tackling issues others avoided.
He said the projects being unveiled would permanently silence skeptics and critics who once doubted Uzodimma’s vision.
“Governor Uzodimma has proven that leadership is about foresight and courage. He has given Imo people confidence that government can work for the good of the people. What we are witnessing is the dawn of a new Imo where the dividends of democracy are visible and tangible,” Arodiogbu added.
He further praised President Tinubu for recognizing and supporting Uzodimma’s strides in governance, stressing that the visit would deepen the synergy between the Federal Government and Imo State for accelerated growth.
“President Tinubu’s presence in Imo is historic. It is symbolic of the APC’s appreciation of Uzodimma’s achievements, and it is also an assurance that the Renewed Hope Agenda is alive in the South East,” Arodiogbu said.
The APC Vice Chairman urged Imo people to rally around their governor, describing him as a leader who has rewritten the story of governance in the state with monumental projects and people-focused policies. He emphasized that Uzodimma’s legacies would remain benchmarks of progressive leadership in the South East.
“As the President commissions these projects and unveils this book, history will remember Governor Uzodimma as a man who changed the development narrative of Imo. His legacy projects and intellectual contributions are footprints on the sands of time. They are eloquent proofs that indeed, Hope has worked for the people,” Dr. Arodiogbu declared.
