A new executive council has emerged in Owerri Club, the premier sports and recreation club in the South East.
In a transparent and open process conducted under the Electoral Committee headed by Akajiugo Chidi Anyaso, the following were returned elected:
Ezinwa Onyebuchi Obinwa – Chairman
Chief Okey Dike – Vice Chairman
Ik Ogbonna – Secretary
Obinna Ibeh – Assistant Secretary
Chief Emma Ebili – Grill Secretary
Dr. Jude Ohanele – Maintenance Secretary
Dr. Francis Nnolim – Ordinary Member
Dr. Shah Azu Okorie – Treasurer
They were immediately sworn in by a Chief Magistrate and Notary Public.
In his handover speech, Sir Bon Ukachukwu urged the new management to sustain the trajectory of development initiated by his administration.
In his acceptance speech, Ezinwa Onyebuchi Obinwa appreciated members of the club for finding him and his team worthy of leadership, assuring that the club remains in safe hands.
