INNONEWS Media Network Limited, publishers of innonews.com.ng, the flagship online newspaper in the South East, has announced the unveiling of its 2025 Hall of Champions, a prestigious platform dedicated to celebrating outstanding Imolites whose work has elevated the image of the state and the nation.

The Hall of Champions, first introduced in 2021, was conceived to recognise individuals of Imo origin who have excelled in diverse fields of human endeavour. It serves as a repository of exceptional achievement, honouring men and women whose contributions remain verifiable, impactful and deserving of public acknowledgement.
In a statement signed by Innocent Onyeukwu, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the online media outfit, the organisation explained that the Hall of Champions is deliberately devoid of the fanfare associated with traditional award ceremonies. Instead, it focuses on spotlighting achievers whose work speaks for itself through service, innovation and developmental impact.
For the 2025 edition, INNONEWS Media Network has identified distinguished Imolites who have made notable contributions in governance, entrepreneurship, media, sports, academia, technology, and community leadership. The selected individuals, the organisation noted, represent the best ideals of excellence, commitment and integrity.
The statement added that the essence of the Hall of Champions is to sustain a culture that celebrates merit and encourages outstanding performance among Imo citizens, both within Nigeria and in the diaspora.
Onyeukwu revealed that the selection process for the 2025 inductees was thorough, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to credibility and fairness. He noted that the exercise demonstrates INNONEWS’ dedication to recognising authentic contribution rather than popularity or political affiliation.
Nominees underwent a painstaking and rigorous screening conducted by the INNONEWS Editorial Board, a team of seasoned journalists with decades of experience in investigative and developmental reporting.
According to the statement, the board assessed each nominee’s track record, the tangible impact of their work, and their role in advancing the growth of Imo State or contributing significantly at the national level.
INNONEWS Media Network further stated that the Hall of Champions aims to inspire future generations by showcasing stories of resilience, excellence and service that define the spirit of Imo.
The organisation announced that the full list of the 2025 inductees will be published in the coming days as part of its annual tradition.
