The Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, Osita Izunaso, has announced plans to empower more than 6,000 constituents across the zone as part of his Christmas and New Year outreach.
According to a statement signed by his media team and made available to this medium, the empowerment programme is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, January 6, at the Senator’s country home in Ohakpu, Oru West Local Government Area of Imo State, by 10:00 a.m.
The statement disclosed that the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, alongside other top government officials and prominent personalities, is expected to grace the event.
Senator Izunaso has consistently made empowerment a central pillar of his public service, a commitment that led to the establishment of the Kpakpando Foundation. Through the foundation, thousands of Nigerians—particularly persons living with disabilities—have benefited from various empowerment initiatives.
On October 30, 2025, the Senator empowered over 5,000 beneficiaries with items including mini buses, tricycles, grinding machines, and sewing machines, an initiative that attracted widespread commendation across Imo State and beyond.
Describing the forthcoming programme as the “Mother of All Empowerments,” Senator Izunaso urged prospective beneficiaries to make judicious use of the empowerment items, stressing that the initiative is a fulfillment of his campaign promises to the people of Orlu Zone.
