Ikeduru Youths Pass Vote Of Confidence On Uzodimma, Ukaegbu

As part of the New Year festivities and the celebration of his birthday, the Commissioner for Youths and Talent Hunt, Dr. Emeka Mandela Ukaegbu, hosted community youth leaders from the 29 autonomous communities in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State at his country home.

Briefing the youths, Ukaegbu said the superlative performances, people-oriented programmes and developmental strides of the 3R administration, championed by Governor Hope Uzodimma, are restoring dignity to Imo State. He noted that the administration’s approach to governance has prioritised the welfare of citizens while driving sustainable development across critical sectors.

He further highlighted the governor’s commitment to youth empowerment, infrastructure development and inclusive governance, stressing that young people remain central to the vision and policy direction of the present administration.

The Commissioner commended the youths of Ikeduru for their peaceful disposition and commitment to security, noting that it is on record that Ikeduru has remained free from incidents of insecurity. He urged them to sustain the prevailing peace and continue to support government efforts at all levels to ensure security and development within the local government.

In their responses, various youth leaders eulogised Dr. Emeka Mandela Ukaegbu for his open-door policy and accessibility to youths and other stakeholders in Ikeduru. They described his leadership style as inclusive and responsive, saying it has strengthened confidence between government and the youth constituency.

They appreciated him for convening the meeting to brief them on government activities and for celebrating the festive season with them. The youths expressed pride in his performance as Commissioner, describing him as a worthy representative of the Ikeduru people in government.

The youth leaders also commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for appointing a youthful and dynamic Commissioner, pledging their continued support for the administration of His Excellency to ensure sustained development in Imo State.

Consequently, a vote of confidence was unanimously passed on Governor Hope Uzodimma for his infrastructural drive and people-centred development initiatives across Imo State. A similar vote of confidence was passed on Dr. Emeka Mandela Ukaegbu for his outstanding performance at the Ministry of Youths and Talent Hunt and for effectively representing the interests of the Ikeduru people.

The event concluded with the distribution of rice palliatives to youths and stakeholders present, adding colour and impact to the celebration.
