Dr Ikedi Ohakim, former Governor of Imo State, has described the 75th birthday anniversary of Prince Lemmy Akakem (Okpataozuoha), Deputy Chairman of the Imo State Council of Elders, as “a celebration of a precious life full of strength, brilliance and love.” Ohakim noted that Akakem’s 75th birthday anniversary is “a remarkable milestone and a testimony to God’s abiding grace upon Lemmy Akakem’s life because of his devotion to service, wisdom and leadership.”
The former governor stated this in his congratulatory message to mark Akakem’s 75th birthday anniversary. According to Ohakim, Lemmy Akakem’s seventy-five years have not only been years of personal achievement but also years of meaningful impact on people, institutions and the development of Imo State.
“As Deputy Chairman of the Imo State Council of Elders, you have continued to embody the dignity, restraint and foresight that define true statesmanship. Your voice has consistently been one of reason and unity, and your wise counsel has contributed immensely to strengthening the moral and developmental direction of our dear state. The stability and progress we seek as a people are deeply rooted in the kind of guidance you and other respected elders provide,” Ohakim told Akakem.
The former governor further stressed that beyond public service, Lemmy Akakem’s “life has been marked by generosity of spirit, mentorship and a sincere commitment to uplifting others,” pointing out that many individuals and communities have benefited from Akakem’s acts of support, encouragement and leadership, which, Ohakim averred, will endure far beyond Lemmy Akakem’s 75th birthday anniversary.
In wishing Akakem God’s continued good health, grace and renewed peace of mind for the many contributions he has made to Imo State and humanity, Ohakim wished Prince Lemmy Akakem a wonderful birthday celebration.
