Orluzurumee Worldwide has praised the Honourable Commissioner for Digital Economy and E-Government, Dr. Chimezie Amadi, for his visionary leadership and significant progress in promoting digital skills acquisition and youth empowerment across Imo State.

The commendation was made during a high-level courtesy visit by the leadership of Orluzurumee to the Commissioner’s office in Owerri on Tuesday. The meeting provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions on digital inclusion, youth development, and sustainable socio-economic growth in Orlu Zone and beyond.

During the discussion, the President-General of Orluzurumee Worldwide, Rt. Hon. Prince Ugochukwu Nzekwe, lauded Dr. Amadi’s creativity, determination, and forward-looking approach in spearheading digital transformation in the state. He particularly emphasized the impact of the Skill-Up Imo Project—an initiative of the 3R administration—which has equipped thousands of young people with essential ICT skills, positioning them for global opportunities.

Nzekwe noted that many beneficiaries from Orlu Zone have been positively transformed through the programme, acquiring employable and entrepreneurial digital skills that enable them to contribute meaningfully to their communities’ socio-economic progress. He added that beyond economic benefits, the initiative has encouraged constructive youth engagement, thereby enhancing peace, stability, and social cohesion across the region.

“You have truly engaged the youth of Imo State through the Skill-Up Imo Project. We are extremely proud of your achievements as a prominent son of Orlu Zone. Indeed, charity begins at home,” Nzekwe stated.

The President-General also highlighted Orluzurumee Worldwide’s ongoing efforts to mobilise stakeholders within Nigeria and in the diaspora to foster unity, peace, and sustainable development in Orlu Zone. He observed that these collective efforts are beginning to yield tangible results, including improved security, revitalised commercial activities, and renewed social vibrancy across the area.

The President of the Orluzurumee Youth Assembly, Prince Izunna Obiefule, also described Dr. Amadi as a mentor and role model whose accomplishments have inspired a new generation of digitally conscious youths. He expressed the gratitude of young people in the zone for the opportunities created through the digital empowerment programme and pledged continued collaboration with the Ministry to broaden access to technology-driven opportunities.

Obiefule further highlighted the youth organisation’s readiness to partner with relevant authorities to combat poverty, reduce crime, and promote productive engagement through structured digital training initiatives.

In his response, Dr. Amadi commended Orluzurumee Worldwide for its steadfast commitment to unity and development in Orlu Zone. He reaffirmed his dedication to Governor Hope Uzodimma’s 3R administration vision, which emphasises economic revitalisation, technological innovation, and inclusive growth.

The Commissioner encouraged youths across Orlu Zone and Imo State to take advantage of the Skill-Up Imo Project, describing it as a transformative platform designed to enhance global competitiveness and digital relevance. He urged young people to remain coordinated, peaceful, and focused to sustain the progress already achieved.

The visit culminated in the formal announcement of Dr. Amadi as Head of the Directorate of ICT and Artificial Intelligence at Orluzurumee Worldwide. In accepting the responsibility, he pledged to deploy his expertise and institutional experience to strengthen the organisation’s digital infrastructure and advance its technological goals.

The engagement marked another step in the shared commitment between Orluzurumee and the Ministry of Digital Economy and E-Government toward building a digitally empowered, economically vibrant, and socially stable Orlu Zone.

Members of the Orluzurumee Youth Assembly Executive Committee who formed part of the delegation included Comrade Julie Anyaoha, Vice President; Nze Dim Chibuike, Secretary-General; Alvan Chinaka, Organising Secretary; and Ikenna Orioha, Publicity Secretary. Their presence underscored the unity, commitment, and progressive vision of Orluzurumee in advancing the collective aspirations of the organisation.
