Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Senator Hope Uzodimma, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a man of courage determined to change Nigeria for the better.
He said it was Tinubu’s courage that has led to the current institutional reforms, which have led to the positive turnaround of the country in the last three years.
In a goodwill message Uzodimma sent to Tinubu on the occasion of his 74th birthday anniversary, he commended the President for the evident fruits of the reforms.
“Your 74th birthday coincides with the turnaround of Nigeria. This is the fruit of deliberate, bold leadership,” Uzodimma wrote.
According to him, “When you assumed office, you inherited a nation at a crossroads. You chose the path of structural reforms. You chose to rebuild Nigeria’s foundations rather than postpone the day of reckoning. You chose courage.”
The Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum assured the President that APC governors would always stand behind him as he takes every step necessary to move the country forward.
Said he, “We understand that transformation requires sacrifice. We understand that reform demands patience. We understand that true leadership is measured by the courage to do what is right, even when it is difficult.”
Uzodimma wished the President God’s continued wisdom, strength, peace, and vigour for the journey ahead.
“Mr President, on behalf of my colleagues in the Progressive Governors Forum, and on behalf of the government and people of Imo State, I extend warmest felicitations to you on this milestone as Nigerians celebrate a leader of rare courage, tenacity, vision, and focus,” Uzodimma submitted.
