The Orluzurumee Socio-Cultural Organization has announced plans to inaugurate its patrons, matrons, and key departmental heads in a high-profile ceremony scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026.

The event will hold at Nkwerre Country Club, Nkwerre, from 12:00 noon, according to a statement signed by Nnamdi Cos-Ukwuoma, Publicity Secretary of Orluzurumee.

The statement said the ceremony will feature the formal investiture of selected patrons and matrons, alongside the inauguration of chairmen of special committees and directors of various directorates.

It noted that those chosen for the honours were selected based on their integrity, achievements, and contributions across different sectors of society.

The organisation said the event is expected to attract political leaders, traditional rulers, clergy, professionals, and indigenes of Orlu extraction.

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, is billed to attend as Special Guest of Honour, reflecting what the group described as growing recognition of its role in advancing unity and development.

Also expected are Osita Izunaso as Guest of Honour, and Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu.

Traditional rulers, including Eze E. C. Okeke and Cletus Ilomuanya, will serve as Royal Fathers of the Day.

Spiritual Fathers of the Day include Augustine Tochukwu Ukwuoma and Benjamin Chinedum Okeke.

President-General of Orluzurumee, Rt. Hon. Ugochukwu Nzekwe, described the ceremony as a strategic step to reposition the organisation’s leadership structure.

“This ceremony is not just about recognition; it is about building a framework for responsible and visionary leadership across Orlu,” Nzekwe said.

He added, “The individuals being honoured have demonstrated capacity and commitment, and we believe they will strengthen our collective drive for development.”

Nzekwe also said the event reflects a shared vision among stakeholders to deepen unity and sustain progress in the zone.

The organisation emphasised that attendance will be strictly by invitation, in line with the exclusive nature of the ceremony.

Orluzurumee, a pan-Orlu socio-cultural platform, is focused on promoting unity, preserving cultural heritage, and driving socio-economic development through partnerships and community-based initiatives.
