The United Progressive Party, UPP has said the South East geo political zone will produce its presidential candidate in 2019.
The party’s national chairman, Chief Chekwas Okorie made the revelation in Awka, Anambra State after its national convention. He however fired salvos at the All Progressive Congress, APC. He accused the APC of dividing Nigeria, stating that the ruling party is defrauding Nigerians by its inability to fulfill its campaign promises.
Okorie said the nation has been defrauded politically while seeking for votes and in an unscrupulous manner promptly jettisoned its avowed article of faith and foisted on the people the worst form of nepotism, reductionism, lethargy and retrogression.
The Chairman said the UPP has zoned its presidential slot to the region for the 2019 general elections.
