Seven Months After Exit As Governor, Ihedioha Returns To Imo

Hon. Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State, Thursday, returned to Owerri for the first time after he was removed by the Supreme Court as Imo State Governor on January 14, 2020.

Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was replaced by the apex court, with Senator Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Plans by the former Governor to return to the State in February was stalled as the State government raised an alarm, lamenting that he was coming back to the State to incite his supporters against the APC led administration of Hope Uzodinma.

Ihedioha who arrived the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, on Thursday morning was received on arrival by hundreds of PDP chieftains, supporters and party faithful.

He is in the State to participate in the State congress of the party and the funeral of the pioneer chairman of the PDP in Imo State, Late Chief I.D Nwoga.
