The All Progressive Congress, APC, Sunday reacted to claims made by former Governor of Imo State, Hon.Emeka Ihedioha, that the PDP remains the choice party of the people of the State.
In a statement by Cajethan Duke, New Media Director, Imo APC, he said such claims made by the former Governor was a misleading conclusion and “ninth wonder of the century”
He said the people of the State have lost faith and confidence in PDP, recalling that the last time the party won elections was in 2003.
“Since 2007, PDP has never won the mandate of our people. It is instructive to point out that PPA and APGA won 2007 and 2011 general elections respectively, while APC won the 2015 and 2019 elections. Whither PDP?
He debunked claims that the Imo people are truamatized over the Party’s loss and exit from the seat of governance.
” The only people truly truamatized by the exit of the illegal administration of PDP are those political ancestors in PDP and their gullible followers who have set out to rebuild their dried pockets and personal lives at the expense of our common patrimony.
He described the PDP as one man band in Imo State, “as evidenced by the imposition of Engr. Charles Ugwu as Chairman through intimidation and coercion in the just concluded charade and rehearsed clip called State congress
“We therefore call on Imolites to remain steadfast with Hope and never to be misled to expect anything new from PDP as it will always be a congregation and self serving elitist, who are only united by their parochial interest”
