BY IFEANYI NWANGUMA

The Guvnor of De Norsemen Kclub International, Imo State Patrol, Elder Obiora Nwigwe has called on members of the Kclub in the State to imbibe the spirit of service to humanity.

Nwigwe who gave the advice in his speech while addressing members of the Kclub in Ikeduru LGA, during his ground finale of chapters visitation on Thursday last week, charged members of the Kclub to reflect on the true meaning of the Kclub motto which is service to humanity, adding that as Norsemen they must dissociate themselves from all conducts that are inimical to human existence in the society.

He pointed out that, “Our struggles and activities as Norsemen should be directed towards helping others and living for humanity Like Mother Theresa. This tells us that every act of charity counts before God and before man, as givers never lack. So, we must live by it as a the manifestation of who we are and what we profess.”

Elder Nwigwe further noted that, “The world is facing lots of humanitarian challenges today. There are Terrorism and Armed Conflicts across the globe. Despondency, Hunger and Starvation have invaded homes. These have created so many humanitarian problems as many people have been rendered homeless and hopeless. This year, the world is facing her greatest humanitarian challenge as a result of COVID-19, which has shattered and devastated Global Economy . In the midst of this, we must remain relentless in our commission to live for others. We must be charged to giving and restoring hope to humanity.”

He however commended the International President of the Kclub, Dr Adeshola Giwa for setting aside every 15th of October as International Norsemen humanitarian day, adding that, “Though our struggle to serve humanity has been impressive and commendable, we must push further to identify the needy and give them succour. We must make our mark on the humanitarian map of the world. We must pool all that we have to restore hope for the hopeless.  As an organization, we have blown full steam in this COVID-19 pandemic, mitigating its unfortunate consequences on humanity. We must not relent because COVID-19 is still with us, even though some sectors of the economy are gradually being opened up.”

According to him, “Denorsemen Kclub International,  Imo State Patrol, wishes to express profound gratitude to our International President, Dr Adeshola Giwa for  Leveraging on the values of  the International Humanitarian Day and in the spirit of the long term vision of  2.0 Next Level Leadership Agenda, with our desire to attract positive image and International recognition for our noble Kclub by setting aside  15th October of every year  as  DNKI HUMANITARIAN DAY. We must make it work for we have chosen it out of personal and collective resolve, to love and serve humanity.”
