The All Progressive Congress, APC, seems divided over the candidature of Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, as candidate of the party for Imo North Senatorial Election.
Araraume via an order of Federal High Court, Owerri,had displaced Frank Ibezim, the preferred choice of Governor Hope Uzodinma,as candidate of the party for Okigwe senate election.
The election was rescheduled to October 5 2020 by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Araraume has however received the backing of former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha.
The former governor said he is donating his Rescue mission political structure to aid the Senator win the election.
The APC Caretaker and Extra Ordinary Convention Planning Committee, is yet to show open solidarity to the Senator as the Imo North Senate election draws near.
The party in a statement in Abuja on Sunday did not announce the set up of a campaign Council for Senator Araraume.
It rather announced former Borno State Governor, Senator Kashim Shettima as Chairman, Cross River North Senatorial District for the December 5 polls.
