Ahead of the November 6 Anambra governorship election, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suspended the Inauguration of its governorship campaign Council.
Thursday, September 9th, has been fixed as new date for the inauguration of the council.
Tony Ezike, Deputy Director Media and Communications, Anambra State PDP Campaign Council, in a statement seen by our correspondent, said the Inauguration was suspended over the inability of PDP Governors to attend.
Part of the statement read “The information revealed that there was an emergency gathering of the governors and other leaders across the country in Jos, Plateau State over critical security issues. The DG Governor’s Forum Hon CID Maduabum revealed that the request of the governors to adjourn till Thursday in order to have the full impetus of the PDP Governors at the event”
