A mammoth crowd cheerily gathered at the Orlu Recreation Club in Orlu LGA yesterday to witness the top-notch Christmas Carol organized by the Ezeani Media Center with the theme ” Let’s sing to the Lord for peace in Orlu”
The epoch making event which was graced by the creme de la creme in Imo State and beyond featured mind blowing programs which kept spectators glued to their seats. Some of the programs included the Praise and Worship Hour led by Bishop Onyedikachi Daniel Edede (JP) and his Prayer Intervention Team, specific prayers for peace, security and prosperity in Orlu zone, singing competition by different choral groups etc
The climax of the occasion was the special song renditions by different choral groups which attracted handsome rewards according to their positions.
The Philharmonic Ensemble Orlu LGA took the first position and smiled home with their cash prize of two hundred thousand naira. The second Position went to the Christ Church Choir Akokwa Ideato LGA with one hundred and fifty thousand naira cash prize. The third position went to the Amazing Voice Choir, Isu LGA with the cash prize of one hundred thousand naira.
Dr Ken Anaeme, the Director General of Dr ThankGod Ezeani Organization in his comment at the event appreciated Everyone that graced the occasion, stressing on the reasons for convening the program which according to him is to acknowledge God’s faithfulness upon us all through the year and to seek for his intervention in the unfortunate situations around us.
The convener of the program, Dr ThankGod Ezeani (Ogbaturuenyi) while addressing the audience expressed profound joy at the outcome of the event while adding that he finds unfathomable fulfilment in such an atmosphere of prayer and songs unto the Lord. This he demonstrated by singing different songs at the occasion. He also emphasized on the importance and spiritual implications of such programs especially going by the evil that is obtainable in today’s society.
Some dignitaries at the occasion included His Excellency, Engr Gerald Irona, former deputy governor of Imo State, Sir Martin Ejiogu, Deputy State Chairman Imo (PDP), Hon. Chief Mrs Maria Mbakwe, Imo PDP women leader, Comr. GOC Nwadike, Imo PDP Youth Leader, Comr. Prince Collins Opurozor, DG Imo PDP New Media, Hon. Barr C. Obido,PDP Orlu Zonal Chairman, Hon. Mrs Uju Ihejiagwa, PDP Orlu Zonal Women Leader, Hon. Barr Maxwell Alaetuo, President Ideato Assembly amongst other numerous Guests.
