As the November 11 Imo governorship election draws near, the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Labour Party, Hon. Tony Nwulu, has said that the LP is the only party on campaign across the 27 local governments in the State.
Nwulu and the LP governorship candidate, Senator Athan Achonu, kicked off the LP campaign rally in the state last week with visits to Aboh Mbaise, Ngor Okpala, and Ezinihitte Mbaise local government areas.
Nwulu, in his verified X account, wrote, ” Let it be known to all Nigerians and Imolites that Sen.Athan Achonu and I, Hon. Tony Nwulu, are the only governorship candidates campaigning in each LGA till date.”
The Labour Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP, are the frontline political parties vying for the off-cycle governorship election in Imo State.
The APC and PDP are yet to kick-start campaigns in the local governments.
Both political parties had only flagged off campaign councils.
