As part of activities marking his one year in office in his second tenure, Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma will, on Wednesday, January 15th, make a broadcast to the people of the state
The governor will also hold a worldwide live phone in radio programme on Tuesday, January 14th. The live radio programme will also be broadcast online .
In a statement by the Commissioner for Information ,Public Orientation and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba, both the broadcast and the live radio phone in programmes are in line with the governor’s policy of transparency and accountability in governance.
According to him, while the broadcast will be by 7am on Wednesday , the live radio phone in programme will hold between 2pm and 4 pm on Tuesday
He disclosed that no fewer than 15 radio stations and online platforms will participate in the programme to reach Imo people worldwide.
He said that Imo people, no matter where they reside in the globe, are encouraged to ask the governor questions during the phone in the programme.
” This is like an online stakeholders forum where people from all walks of life will interact with the governor and express their opinion and concerns regarding governance in the state,” the Commissioner noted.
Emelumba described Senator Hope Uzodimma as a man who believes in democracy and would therefore avail Imo people the opportunity to ask him questions freely.
He therefore enjoined Imo people and other interested Nigerians to keep a date with Governor Uzodimma to field their questions.
