Tinubu To Visit Imo Sept 30, Commission Legacy Projects, Launch Book On APC

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on September 30, 2025, lead governors and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Owerri, Imo State, to unveil a book authored by Governor Hope Uzodimma, chronicling the achievements of the APC in its 10 years in power.

During the visit, President Tinubu is also expected to commission key legacy projects completed by Governor Uzodimma’s administration under the 3R Government.

Governor Uzodimma disclosed the development on Thursday while speaking to newsmen after inspecting some of the projects slated for commissioning. The statement announcing the visit was signed by Oguwike Nwachuku, Chief Press Secretary and Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, on September 25, 2025,

Among the projects lined up are the fully rebuilt 26-kilometre Owerri–Mbaise–Obowo–Umuahia road, a new flyover linking Port Harcourt and Onitsha with improvements at the Assumpta Cathedral roundabout, and the ultra-modern Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre (EIICC), Owerri.

Uzodimma noted that the APC was marking a decade of leadership in Nigeria with a significant meeting in Owerri, where the party’s performance would be highlighted. He said the newly completed Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre would host the President and the APC leadership during the event.

“The meeting will launch and showcase a compendium detailing achievements of the Party as compiled by a dedicated team led by the Chairman of Progressives Governors’ Forum,” Uzodimma said, stressing that the event underscores APC’s decade of leadership and infrastructural progress.

According to the Governor, residents of Imo State have expressed excitement over the visit, describing it as an opportunity to showcase both the APC’s performance at the national level and his administration’s achievements in the state.

“We are not talking of promises anymore. We are discussing performance, visionary leadership, Renewed Hope Government by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Uzodimma emphasized.

The Governor also expressed satisfaction with the quality of work delivered on the commissioned projects, stating that the contractors were mindful of his administration’s zero tolerance for substandard jobs.
