A Global Security Strategist and CEO of Champion Investigations & Security Consulting Services LLC, USA, Dr. Sylvester Okere, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the World Association of Detectives (WAD).
Okere’s election to WAD’s Board took place at the ongoing 101st Annual Conference of WAD, being held in Cannes, France.
The 2026 WAD Annual Conference in Cannes commenced on September 1 and will end on September 5, 2026.
Addressing journalists shortly after his election to the Board of Directors of WAD, Okere, a Nigerian-American based in the USA, shared his profound experience since joining the World Association of Detectives (WAD).
“In the world of private investigations and security, a professional is only as strong as their network, and WAD offers unparalleled advantages for professionals who are looking to expand their reach, build unbreakable international alliances and elevate their professional standing,” said Okere.
“One outstanding benefit offered by WAD is that while other associations offer directories and standard memberships, WAD offers true excellence and requires a global brotherhood of trusted elite professionals,” Okere added.
According to him, WAD consistently delivers priceless personal and business relationships that no other group can match and unlocks a premier global network of elite security and investigative professionals.
Okere’s election into such a prestigious position in WAD highlights how the organisation elevates and honours its members on a global scale:
In 2023, at the annual conference in Vancouver, Canada, Okere was honoured as the recipient of the prestigious WAD Security Professional of the Year Award.
During WAD’s historic 100-Year Centennial (2025–2026), Okere was appointed as an Official WAD Ambassador, joining a select group of global representatives shaping the future of the network.
Okere holds active memberships in over a dozen domestic and international security organisations.
