The 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Emmanuel College, Owerri (ECOL) Old Boys 88 Set (Unique Men) will hold from Friday, 2nd October to Sunday, 4th October, 2026 in Enugu.
This was contained in the official programme of activities for the AGM as released and signed by the Chairman of the 2026 ECOL ’88 AGM Planning Committee, Chief Ubaferem Nwoha.
According to the programme, activities for the three-day event will commence on Friday, 2nd October, with arrival of members from 5pm to 7pm, followed by EXCO and AGM Committee meeting from 7pm to 9pm, and EXCO/AGM Committee hangout from 9pm till midnight.
Saturday, 3rd October, which is the main AGM day, will begin with a Morning Walk (Walk4Life) from 6:30am to 7:30am. The AGM proper will commence at 12 noon with members seated, roll calls/registration and online setup.
The AGM proceedings will include praise and worship, welcome address by the AGM Committee Chairman and opening prayers, opening remarks by the National Coordinator, two lecture/talk sessions, refreshments and lunch.
Other key items on the agenda are: minutes of the last AGM and matters arising, branch coordinators’ report, financial report, reports from committees including the Project Committee, constitution amendments and resolutions, election of officers, AOB, team bonding/ice breaker session, and closing at 6pm. The day will climax with a sit-out for members from 8pm till dawn.
The event will conclude on Sunday, 4th October, with a Church Thanksgiving Service from 9am to 12 noon, followed by lunch and departure from 1pm.
Meanwhile, the National Coordinator of ECOL ’88, Sir Emeka Ariguzo, Ph.D, has assured all participants of an exceptional event.
Sir Ariguzo stated that every arrangement aimed at making this year’s AGM remarkable and memorable has been concluded. He assured that ECOL ’88 will continue to grow from strength to strength, reiterating that the Association, as a pace-setting Set in Emmanuel College, Owerri, will continue to live up to expectations.
The 2026 AGM, marking the 10th anniversary of the Unique Men, is expected to attract members of the Set from across Nigeria and the diaspora.
