Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, will on Friday, November 6, be honoured with an award by the Ladies of St. Mulumba, Nigeria, as their 48th National Convention gets underway in Owerri.

No fewer than 500 delegates from different parts of Nigeria will attend the convention, which is to be hosted by the Owerri Metropolitan Council.
The wife of the governor, Barr. Mrs. Chioma Uzodimma, will be the special guest of honour at the ceremony to be presided over by Dr. A. B. C. Orjiako, while a former Chairman of INEC, Prof. Maurice Iwu, is the Father of the Day.
In a letter addressed to the governor through the Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Chief Cosmas Iwu, the Lady Knights disclosed that they will confer the award of IKUKU OMA NDI IMO on Uzodimma during the event.
In the letter signed by Dr. Lady Rosecolette N. Ewurum and Lady Jim Florence Okoro, President and Secretary, respectively, they explained that the award was in recognition of the governor’s service to the people of Imo State and Nigeria.
“We are pleased to inform Your Excellency that this award is in recognition of your service to our country and the development and transformation of the state,” they declared.
The Lady Knights pleaded with the governor to graciously avail them of his presence on Friday, November 6, to receive the award.
They pledged to continue to pray for peace and progress in the state, especially in the run-up to next year’s general elections.
