Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha and a former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu have harped on the gains for Igbos if they vote the All Progressive Congress, APC in the next general elections.
He urged Igbos to avoid playing “primitive, regional and clannish politics. Okorocha said such attitude would do them no good.
Okorocha spoke at the Umuahia Township Stadium during a mega rally organized to welcome decampees from other political parties to the All Progressive Congress, APC.
He recalled that Igbos played bad politics during the 2015 elections, advising them to opt for national politics.
Also in his speech, a former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu said he has put everything he had to Abia State to APC, saying the state ought to be liberated from bondage.
He pointed out that though the APC recorded less than 6% votes in 2015 in Abia State, he would ensure that the figure is beefed up to 75% in 2019.
He added that the party would deploy “federal might” to resist thuggery and any attempt to rig APC out during the 2019 polls
