Ex Imo SSG, Jude Ejiogu Consults Imo Federal Lawmakers In Abuja

by admin

Pictures seen online yesterday  revealed that the former Secretary to Imo State Government, Jude Ejiogu held a meeting with Federal lawmakers from the state, mainly members of the House of Representatives.

Details of the meeting remain unknown at press time. Ejiogu is speculated to be a contender for the Imo governorship contest on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC. He is yet to officially declare his ambition though he is said to have engaged in subtle political consultation.

No statement has been released by the former SSG or any of his aides on the purpose and outcome of the meeting.

Ejiogu however posted on his facebook page that he was hosted by the Hon. Chike Okafor in his office. He wrote

“Today I was hosted by our great sons representing Imo State in the Federal House of Representatives ably led by Hon. Raphael Nnanna Igbokwe, the Honorable member representing Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency and the Chairman of the Imo State House of Representatives caucus. Hon. Nnanna Igbokwe is the Chairman on Petroleum products pricing. I was hosted in the office of my dear brother and friend Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor who is the Federal House member representing Ihitte Uboma/Obowo/Ehime Mbano Federal constituency.

Some of the lawmakers present at the meeting include Hon Ralpheal Nnanna Igbokwe, member representing Ahiazu/Ezinihitee Mbaise Federal Constituency (PDP), Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor, member representing Ehime Mbano, Ihitte Uboma, and Obowo Federal constituency, Hon. Jerry Alagbaso, member representing Orlu/Oru East/ Orsu Federal Constituency (PDP), Hon Goodluck Opiah, representing Ohaji/Egbema/Oru West/Oguta Federal constituency and Hon. Austine Chukwukere, member representing Ideato North/Ideato South Federal Constituency.

Most of the lawmakers particularly those in the PDP are speculated to have political sympathy for the Ali Modu Sherrif faction of the PDP

This may have explained the absence of Hon. Ezenwa Onyewuchi, member for Owerri Federal Constituency, Hon. Bede Eke, member representing Ngor Okpala/ Aboh Mbaise Constituency and Hon. Obinna Onwubariri
