ONYEDIKA ONYEUKWU serves as the Programme and Technical Director of the Project Truth Journalism Initiative (PTJI). She brings to the team a blend of technical expertise and a deep commitment to investigative journalism, driving the organization’s mission to promote truth, transparency, and accountability in the media space.
Onyeukwu has continued to apply her technical knowledge and organizational skills to strengthen PTJI’s digital operations, data-driven projects, and multimedia reporting capacity.
Her passion for online journalism and innovation has positioned her as a vital force in developing PTJI’s investigative frameworks, ensuring the Initiative leverages technology to expose falsehoods, combat misinformation, and amplify stories that advance social justice and public interest.
ELUMA MGBENGASA is a seasoned journalist with vast experience in news reportage, political coverage, and feature writing. Over the years, he has built a reputation for accuracy, balance, and objectivity in his stories, qualities that have earned him respect among his peers and credibility among news audiences across Nigeria.
Having worked with several reputable newspaper outfits, Eluma has covered a wide range of beats — from politics and governance to human interest and community development. His in-depth approach to journalism reflects a commitment to uncovering facts, amplifying public voices, and holding power accountable through factual, well-researched reporting.
Dr. RICHARD DIRIM ODU is a respected and thoroughbred media practitioner with nearly four decades of experience in journalism and communication. A Ph.D. holder in Mass Communication, he has held key editorial and production roles in several reputable media organizations, where he demonstrated exceptional skill in newsroom management, headline crafting, and publication design.
Throughout his career, Dr. Odu has distinguished himself in both print and broadcast journalism, as well as in public relations, earning recognition for his depth, precision, and professionalism. His experience cuts across news editing, media strategy, and communication training, making him a valuable voice in Nigeria’s media landscape.
A prolific writer and teacher, Dr. Odu has authored numerous articles, short stories, and two notable books — A Handbook for Editors and Musings on Corruption. He currently lectures in Mass Communication and continues to mentor young journalists on ethics, professionalism, and excellence in media practice.
